Harrop Supercharger Kits: Australia's Finest Positive Displacement Supercharger - Available in Perth
Share
If you want the most sophisticated, Australian-engineered supercharger system available for your LS-powered vehicle, there is only one answer: Harrop Engineering. Based in Melbourne and established since 1955, Harrop has been at the forefront of OEM and aftermarket performance for seven decades - and their Eaton TVS supercharger kits are the benchmark for forced induction on LS engines in Australia. BYE Performance is your Perth destination for Harrop products.
Why Harrop? Seven Decades of Australian Engineering
Harrop Engineering isn't a small aftermarket company - they supply components to OEMs, race teams, and the aftermarket alike. Their engineering credentials are proven at the highest levels of motorsport, and every product they release undergoes extensive in-house development and dynamometer testing before reaching customers. Harrop superchargers are individually tested on their own dyno before dispatch.
The Eaton TVS Advantage
The heart of every Harrop supercharger kit is the Eaton TVS (Twin Vortices Series) rotor group. TVS technology uses four-lobe helical rotors that rotate in opposite directions, creating a smoother, quieter, and more efficient air delivery than older two and three-lobe designs. The TVS produces lower inlet temperatures, better volumetric efficiency, and a more linear power delivery - all critical for both street use and high-power applications.
Harrop TVS2300 vs. TVS2650: Which Kit Is Right for You?
Harrop currently offers two primary supercharger sizes for the LS platform:
TVS2300 (2.3 litre displacement) - Suited to LS engines with cathedral, rectangular, or LS7 head port shapes. This is the proven workhorse of the Harrop range, offering a strong combination of low-end torque, power delivery, and daily drivability. Ideal for street-focused builds on Commodores (VE/VF) and LS-swapped vehicles.
TVS2650 (2.65 litre displacement) - The largest and most efficient TVS rotor group Eaton has ever produced, validated to OEM specifications. Suits LS3, LS7, and LSA port shape combinations and is designed for those pushing performance beyond what the smaller unit can support. The TVS2650 head unit is also backward-compatible with existing FDFI2300 supercharger manifolds, creating a direct upgrade path for existing Harrop customers.
The FDFI Design: Smarter Packaging, Better Performance
Harrop's Front Drive – Front Inlet (FDFI) design places the drive system at the front of the supercharger, eliminating the transfer shaft found in older HTV designs. This makes the unit quieter, removes serviceable parts, and allows for a larger inlet area - improving the performance of the system without compromise. The integrated twin-pass intercooler cores are developed in partnership with PWR and incorporated directly into the manifold, providing highly efficient charge cooling without the bulk of an external intercooler system.
Vehicles Supported
Harrop supercharger kits are designed for LS-powered vehicles including Holden Commodore VE and VF (including all HSV variants), as well as generic LS engine installations (LS1, LS2, LS3, LS7, LSA). For LS-swapped vehicles, a generic kit with all required ancillaries is available. Supporting components including integrated throttle bodies, fuel rails, pulley kits, and FEAD (Front End Accessory Drive) upgrades are also available directly from Harrop.
